The Light of Distant Stars
I have a very vivid memory as a child being awed by looking into the vastness of a starry sky. Stars, Novas, Galaxies and Eclipses have always fascinated me. These paintings and hand pulled screen prints are an attempt to capture the beauty, power and energy of the Cosmos.
The paint application in these paintings ranges from thick impasto to a thin layering of transparent glazes. My intention is to use color to create a luminous quality.
